Go playing outside improves eyesight.

According to the Lancet study about the rise of myopia in East Asia of the past few decades, 80-90% of high school grads are near-sighted and the prevalence will continue to grow. So, how to prevent it?

The study shows that going outside can help. More time spent outside protects against near-sightedness. That doesn’t have to mean playing sports. It can just mean being outside. As simple as that.

Researchers from the University of Cambridge recently discovered that near-sighted children spent an average of 3.7 fewer hours outdoors per week than children with normal vision or who were farsighted.

So children who played outside more had better vision? Yes, compiling research from over 10,000 children and adolescents, the Cambridge study found that for each additional hour children spent outdoors every week, their risk of developing nearsightedness fell by 2%.

More than that, there're some other reasons why kids should be going outside. Crisp and clear vision isn't the only benefit. Don't you think?
